What are the activities at this eight day event ?

This eight day event is broadly divided into Workshops (four days), Tutorials (two days) and a Conference (two days). It is intended that a member of the networking and services community in India who attends any of these should get the benefit of the other activities being colocated at the same venue, thereby enabling him to attend as many sessions as possible in a single visit.

What will be the timings during the event ?

Well, rest assured that you will have a hectic time. However, typically, the day would start at 9 AM and finish by 7 PM.

So, who are these tutorials and workshops aimed at ?

The tutorials and workshops are aimed at imparting technical and operations knowledge to the participants.

The pre-conference workshops are aimed at operations staff of ISPs and large enterprises that need to deal with upstream providers and other services that need to be provided as part of Internet Services. The workshops will feature both IPv4 as well as IPv6 operations with the focus being on IPv4 operations since that is what is prevalent in India, currently.

The pre-conference tutorials, targetted at technical and operations staff, Network and systems administrators, small ISPs etc., aim to provide technology details of services associated with Internet service provision. Again, the content of these tutorials will address both IPv4 and IPv6.

If you already know IPv4 and require advanced levels of knowledge about the IPv6 protocol itself for purposes of product design, network services design, network design or applications programming, you should attend the full day tutorial on IPv6 that will be offered before the conference begins.
